Happy Holidays

Its beginning to look alot like Christmas, every where I look. How exciting... we are only a week away from Christmas. I am super excited to spend time with my family. I luv the feeling of watching my kids open up their gifts. I'm looking forward to a jam packed kitchen and making it all work. Take a moment and tell me what you luv about this time of Celebration.

I have some more gorgeous projects to share with you from Linda and Roree. I get excited every time we can place our products in others hands and see the amazing creations that they make with them.

Like this amazing Reindeer card from Roree.

She used a combination of our Stardream cardstock and Curious Iridescent 8.5 x 11 Cardstock 89 lb Cover weight CRYOGEN WHITE .

Linda the master of some really cool techniques created this amazing Thank You card. She used CutCardstock's deckle edge card paper. She sprayed it with a peach colored Glimmer Mist first and used her finger to cover the entire paper and then layed a Glimmer Screen over that and sprayed with Fully Purple Glimmer Mist. When she lifted up the plastic screen, she was left with a design. Linda says "This paper took the Glimmer Mist so wonderfully". The flowers were already peach, but I sprayed them with the Glimmer Mist too for some added sparkle.

In January we will have some fabulous designs coming from Vianney Galarza. She sent me a sneak peek and they are some pretty fabulous cards with great ideas for invitations.

I also wanted to remind you that we have a super exciting promo right now. You spend $25.00 in the store and you will receive free product. This grabbag is filled with some great scraps and overcuts perfect for those tags and card projects. So don't miss out on it. We are still offering free shipping with a $60.00 purchase as well. You can find the details on the store front at Cut Card Stock.com but if you have questions please feel free to email or call us !

Have a great and safe Holiday. From me and the Cut Card Stock.com Family

Guest designers Roree Rumph and Linda Beeson

I am so sorry I am a day late on blogging. I got a really bad body cold with the chills and fever uuugghhh its been horrible. I'm finally just now making my self get up and Blog.

I have some Beautiful projects I'm excited to show you , from these 2 super talented designers.
Here are some beautiful snowflake tags from Linda. She used the Curious Metallic in Bronze Ore for the base of the tags. She than used the Curious Metallic in the Hades color for the punched out snowflakes. This paper was just perfect to use Coffee Shop Glimmer Mist on - the end result looks like RUST Linda said. The snowflakes were punched out of this when it was dry.I ran a piece of the Curious Metallic in White Gold through a Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dot embossing plate for the top portions of the tags. This paper was just made to be embossed !

Next we have a fabulous mini tin album made by Roree.Roree used our Curious Metallic Purple Haze for the base and for the snowflakes she used the Curious Metallic Lustre

Roree also created this gorgeous box and card set.

She used Emerald and Malachite Stardream for the box . For the heart on the card she used Star Dream Ruby . For the card background she embossed our Cryogen White Curious Iridescent.

Ill finish this post with a fantastic card from Linda.

The base to this card is Amethyst Stardream Metallic cardstock. She cut the Copper Stardream Metallic cardstock with a Spellbinder Nestabilities die for the center piece and the snowflake is also a Spellbinder nestabilities die cut from the Crystal Stardream Metallic cardstock. These Nestabilities dies are meant to cut and the dry emboss and this paper worked so well for both of these.

I hope you enjoyed these projects as much as I did. I have a few more created by them that I will post by the 15th.

Have a Blessed Day, Norma Kennedy

This is like the perfect Christmas/Holiday card to send to family. This sweet adorable little baby is her grandson and I am in luv with this card. Linda used our Star Dream Metallic Gatefold card in the color Jupiter as her base. She than printed the photo directly on the Cryogen White in Curious Iridescent cardstock and the look is just amazing. The photo is matted with the Stardream Metallic Emerald cardstock and the snowflakes were punched from the white Curious Metallic Lustre.

You are more than welcome to use other products but the highlight should be on card stock. We also ask that you submit no more than two entries. We are super excited to see how creative and what you come up with using card stock
I am also excited to give you another free download. I wanted to help you with your Christmas cards so what I did was created a digital 4x6 that you can add a family picture to it, it can than be printed and adhered to cardstock.

Take a peek here at how I added a black and white picture of my precious three and it was super easy to print as a borderless 4x6. I than double stickied it to the cardstock. Now the silver card is our 5x7 Stardream Metallic Silver A7 invite with the matching A7 envelopes. I decided to go this route so that I can include a family newsletter on the inside printed using some of our Brockway Deckle Edge 80lb text in white paper.

Here is the zip file download link that can be used to add your picture in Elements and Photoshop. Now remember that I made this to print up as a borderless 4x6 so that you would have 1" of cardstock showing around the print. I also did this so that if you print at home you can fit three on an 8.5 x 11 sheet and if you sent out to print it would not get expensive.

Christmas on My Mind

Christmas is by far my favorite Holiday. I luv Christmas Decor, Christmas Wrapping Paper, Christmas Music, Christmas Trees and of course Christmas Cards. This past week I decided to jump ahead and make some Christmas cards and tags.

If you are looking to make your cards this year whether it be digital or hand made paper cards we have the perfect envelopes for you. There is something so yummy about metallic and everything shiny. For my tags I decided to use some of our A2 Star Dream Metallic Mars Envelopes. For the cards I decided to use our super classy square 5.5 X 5.5 Vellum Envelopes. Take a peek here at all envelopes sizes to find what you are looking for at CutCardStock.com .

Since I really wanted these tags and cards to Shimmer I decided to use StarDream Metallics in the Crystal Color 105lb cardstock as the base for my card and tag. I also used it for my embossed bird and I was really happy with the results.

Now remember we still have "The Colors of Fall" contest still going on. Its a great way to challenge yourself to get some cards made. At the same time giving yourself the opportunity to earn some gift cards to our store so you can stock up on some of the gorgeous Metallic Cardstock and Envelopes we offer if you choose. I have added a slide show on the right of the beautiful entries so far. So make sure to send me yours so I can add it but remember you only have till November 1st. If your wanting to see the rules and how to submit please see the previous post. You can leave the link and information on any post and I'll make sure to add your card or project to the slide show.

We are super excited to see how creative and what you come up with using card stock
This week I want to inspire you with one of my favorite new product lines.

Perfect Pockets by Basis Paper.

Oh the possibilities are just endless with these. In the store right now we have them available in DK Purple, Brown and Black and will be adding more colors so please don't hesitate to encourage us with your favorite colors.

What I created was a Baby Announcement card. I cut out an opening to attach the word "Baby" in the center. Than added a picture of my Isabella with her birth weight specs and a poem. Now this concept is great for Wedding Invites with the couples picture, Baby Shower & Bridal Shower Invites where the pocket can hold all the places they are registered at. What is great is that they have matching envelopes for a real complete look. Right now these are on a 10% off sale in the store by entering PPF at checkout.

Another one of our cool products is our Petal Cards. I luv luv the options these cards give. One of the toughest jobs in planning any party weather its a Wedding, Shower or Birthday Party is what to do as a favor. Well wonder no more our Petal cards are perfect and they come in so many wonderful colors.

What I did was super easy. I just pinched the sides, added a bit of glue I picked up from Walmart , clipped the sides for about 3 minutes till it dried. Now I probably could have fancied these up a bit more with patterned paper before glueing but I choose to keep them simple. I did however make some patterned paper flowers. I cut 3 uneven circles out of 3 different patterns. Distressed the edges with my nail. I than layered the flowers and added a small rhinestone brad to them. Now they are ready to be filled with candy, chocolates, maybe a candle or any favor your wanting to give away. These are great for place setting favors or how about as a gift for the Holidays to teachers and relatives filled with your baked goods. These are also on sale for 10% off but remember to use the discount code PPF at checkout.

Now in true Norma style....that's me hehehe I tend to want to jump ahead of seasons and be prepared. Every year I try to do something different as Christmas cards. With Isabella being a new addition to our family I was thinking about mailing out pictures of her milestones but than I got to thinking about how many I have taken. So I decided to use the Petal Cards. They are perfect to hold Cd's in. So I'm thinking about placing a family picture in the center and than adding the Cd to it. Now the Petal Cards can be directly mailed with out an envelope which is wonderful. However if you use it to mail Cd's in you must take them in and let the Post Office know so they don't run them thru their machines. Here again I can imagine these as favors in a pretty basket at a Wedding with pictures on a Cd of the couple or the couples fave songs Cd.

OK moving on. Are you ready for a refill on your coffee yet? Now remember I warned you about this post but I hope your finding it informative. I luv feed back so please make sure and let me know what you think. If you have any ideas. I would luv to hear them ....... actually it makes my day when I see I have comments ! So go on and "Make My Day" :' 0

Well now since you were willing to stay with me thru this long post I'm ready to reward you for your patience. I am giving away 2 downloadable 3.5 x 8.5 cards. Simply load them into Photoshop or Elements, all the elements are layered so you simply drag your pictures into them. I designed and created these in Photoshop so I know that they work great in Photoshop and Elements since I saved them as a PSD but not sure how they will work on any other program. Remember the measurements for these are 3.5 x 8.5 which will allow you to print 2 on a 8.5x11 photo paper sheet.

These are great all occasion cards to send to family members. Now the matching envelopes have been put on sale for you guys which are the Green Grocer Kraft and the Cougar White Envelopes. The prices on these envelopes are ouststanding $13.75 for 50 of the Kraft ones and $10.25 for 50 of the White ones.

Please Enjoy and if you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask ! All I ask is that you do not give the direct link away. You may however link this Blog or my personal one.

Well ...... I think this is just about all. I am so looking forward to seeing the Amazing entries for the "Colors of Fall" contest and remember I enjoy any and all feedback ! Have a wonderful Blessed Day,

Norma Kennedy

Inspiration for "Cut It Up" Sketch Contest : Projects Using Star Dream Metallics and Curious Iridescent

Here are some projects I created using inspiration from the sketches and Cut Card Stock.com products ( contest details at bottom of post):

I used the sketch above on this altered clipboard. I also used the Star Dream Metallics Onyx & Mars. For the scalloped circle I used Curious Iridescent Cryogen White. It really is soooo hard to capture just how pretty this cardstock is. They glimmer and really add such beauty to any project !

Also using the sketch above I created this card using the Star Dream Mettallic Copper. Whats wonderful is that most of these colors can be ordered pre-folded as this one was so your ready to create and work quickly. I also used for the strip Curious Metallic Ionised & for the scalloped Circle I used Curious Metallic Anodised. These colors are just stunning. Can you imagine them used for Wedding Invitations ? !Of course I could not get enough of these GORGEOUS metallic I just had to make a layout using the other sketch. With this sketch I decided to do a layout using some more of these YUMMY Star Dream Metallic in Sapphire & for the rose I used the Star Dream Metallic Mars.

Keep an eye out in the next few weeks for a tutorial on how to make this beautiful cardstock rosette here on our Blog site. If you get a chance visit tell me what you think about these projects and our products. Is there something special your looking for or even if you just want to show me some of your work. Look forward to getting to know you all !Now remember we are having a contest . It is posted with Pubcalls . We have kept it super easy and its something that everyone can do soooo...........
