Customers' Work Showcase + Coupon

We hope you enjoy seeing what our Customer's are doing with products from CutCardStock!

The first project is a Wedding Invitation designed by Sue Kilgore from Portage, Indiana. Sue designed this invitation using our Stardream Metallic CRYSTAL 5x7 Deluxe landscape pocket fold, Stardream Metallic Rose QUARTZ 81# Text, Stardream Metallic Rose Quartz A-1 response envelopes, and Stardream Metallic 65# Cardstock in the color Crystal. She did this lovely invitation for her daughter's wedding. Sue printed on the Stardream Metallic 65# CRYSTAL Cardstock using a laser printer. We did not include it in the photo, but she put the completed ensemble in a Stardream Metallic CRYSTAL A-7 Envelope.

Here is a message from Cori Gono and she writes: "Aloha! My name is Cori Gono and I'm from Hawaii. I've been ordering cardstock and matching envelopes from you and love your products. The project that I'm most proud of is the invitations, thank yous, etc. I did for my wedding in November 2008.
I used the Stardream Metallic 65 lb. cardstocks (8-1/2 x 11) in Crystal, Rose Quartz and Serpentine. For the invitations, I used the Stardream Metallic A7 envelopes in Crystal and for the thank you cards, I used size A2. The trimmings from the invitations were used to embellish the invite itself as well as make the tags for the favors, clip holder for the table card, table numbers, and thank you cards. These cardstocks and envelopes were also used to create thank you cards from my wedding shower.
The invitation was held together with an eyelet. It consisted of the cover (Crystal), invitation (Rose Quartz) and a perforated postcard for the RSVP (Serpentine). The clips and table numbers alternated in the Rose Quartz and Serpentine Colors.
I don't waste anything and still have trimmings that I use today for other projects."

We so appreciate all our Customers and we love seeing what so many of you do with CutCardStock's Products. Your Creativity brings life to our products!
A special Thank you to Cori & Sue for sharing with us!

Projects using our Cotton CardStock

We would like to introduce you to some work done by a very talented artist who did some projects using our Cotton Card Stock. Her name is Amber Moran and she writes this about herself:
" I grew up in Upstate New York close to my family dairy farm. My work has always been largely influenced by nature, family and music. Most recently it has been influenced by my boys, my brother who always loved my work (even when I didn't think it was so great) and our tropical environment. I have loved to sketch and paint for as long as I can remember and used to draw for hours at a time when I was a young girl. I love color, hand-made paper and book design. I like to work in a variety of media but am currently interested in watercolor and ink, or whatever medium strikes me in that moment. I received my AAS Degree in Computer Art and Design from Alfred State College, my BS in Studio Art from the University at Buffalo and finally my MS from Elmira College in General Education. I now enjoy living in West Palm Beach, Florida with my husband and two young sons"

For this cut-out leaf card, Amber used our Crane's 100% Cotton LETTRA 220# Cover for the base of the card- She hand painted the leaves/plant with watercolor paints on watercolor paper then scanned it into her computer. She used photoshop and publisher to create the card. She printed the card out on our Cotton cardstock and used an exacto knife to cut out the leaf. She used a bone folder to curl the leaf edges and then She embellished the leaves a bit by hand with green and yellow shimmer ink.

For this peacock feather card Amber writes- "I painted the feather with watercolor paints on watercolor paper and then drew on to of the feather with black ink. I scanned the illustration into my computer and used publisher to create the card. After I printed it out I embellished the card by hand with blue, green and gold shimmer ink and also drew a couple more "loops/lines" with black ink. "

For the peacock bird in full card, Amber says - "I drew the peacock on regular sketching paper with black ink. Scanned it into my computer and used publisher to create the card. After printing it out I embellished the bird and some of the text with blue shimmer ink. "

Amber used an InkJet printer to print on the Savoy Cotton Card Stock.
Don't forget the matching Cotton envelopes.

Corner Book Mark Tutorial

Today we are featuring some work done by Laura Estle from Lafayette, Colorado. She made these cute Spring theme cards using our Brown Bag KRAFT A-7 Folded Cards as the base of the card. She then decorated the cards using our Basis 80# CardStock. Laura sells many of her creations in her etsy store QUEEN BEE INSPIRATIONS.

Here is what Laura writes about herself: " I have been creating something
all my life. Using my creativity keeps my sanity! ~*´¨)¸.•´¸.•*´¨) ¸.•*¨)

I'm a busy mom of three and have my own professional organization business called DESTINATION: Organization, LLC.

My other passion is volunteering as Co-chair of our city’s Waste Reduction Advisory Committee. Our committee provides waste-free events and continues to educate the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling. One of our current goals is to increase awareness to reducing the number of plastic bags people use. We hope people will go beyond bringing your own bag for groceries but also bringing them to every store or marketplace

Laura created these unique Corner Book markers that would make a nice gift for any reader. Below you will find the instructions:

Corner Bookmark Directions

Supplies used: cardstock, paper trimmer, adhesive, bone folder, ruler, clear stamps, ink pad. Optional: corner rounder, paper punch, Pop-dots

Cut a #80 brown card stock into a 2”x6” strip.
Find center and fold paper at right angles at center. Fold other side to meet first fold .

Cut a 2.5” square of aqua card stock and then cut square into 2 triangles.

Finish your bookmark by putting one triangle of aqua on back of bookmark and the other triangle onto the front. Cut a strip of white card stock at 1” by 4.5”. Place this onto front bottom to cover the bottom of bookmark.

Now your bookmark is ready to embellish with stamping and enjoy!

Once Again, A SPECIAL THANK YOU to Laura from QUEEN BEE INSPIRATIONS! for sharing with us her ideas!

Congratulations to
Nicole Esser from Virgina
She was chosen by random drawing and is the winner of our $30 Gift Certificate.

Below is a show case of some Artists and Designers who are using products from

Cheong-ah Hwang from Ohio a very talented artist designed this awesome wall hanging using our Basis Cardstock in the colors: Dark Purple, Purple, Pink, Magenta, Brown, Aqua, white, orange, and light blue.
We were so impressed with her work!
This is what she wrote about her work:
"I'm a paper sculptor. Not long ago, I fell in love with pop-up art as a form of paper sculpture. Although I have a passion in paper medium, fabric is my oldest medium I've worked with. I combined the two different characteristics together to enhance pop-up mechanisms and sculptural quality. I ended up creating "Plushpop" which is pop-up made of fibers, and it is my the latest and the most ambitious project. My dream is that one day, to get commissions to do public installations with my Plushpops.
To see my art background, visit: Or, become a fan! "
Basis 80# Cardstock comes in a variety of colors and is available in 8.5 x11 sheets & in 12x12 sheets.
Be sure to see more of her talented work in her shop PAPERNOODLE and at her website

Another Great Project was sent in by Karen Wallace. Here is what she writes:

Well I use Cryogen white or white gold on almost every card I make, sometimes the poison ivory for the fronts. Here is a link and an attachment if it will take it for a card I made for the Our Daily bread challenge. The gold cross is from them, stamped and embossed in gold, then I positioned the cross spellbinders die over it, embossed and cut it out. Fleur di lis pendant from spellbinders and a Martha Stewart around the card punch set for the back piece and trimmed it all in a gold pen. I also use your cryogen paper on all my scenic stamping which is further down on my blog, it gives the scenes a beautiful shimmer even after I use copics to color or airbrush the scenes. I am hosting a scenic stamping event in Aug and will be making a large order before this event to entice everyone to start using this for their scene stamping.

I love your paper and your customer service is awesome, usually my paper is here within a day or two.

Thanks, Karen Wallace

Select projects will be featured on the CutCardStock Blog.

We received the following submission from Jacob Eisenberger from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. He designed this VERY NICE invitation for his brother and future sister in law's up coming Wedding. He wrote:
"A friend of mine had given me some Malmero Perle black 6.5" square envelopes to work with, which I loved, so I ordered the following from your site to match:

- Malmero Perle' SPARKLE 92 lb Cardstock 8.5 x 11 Vermillon RED
- Malmero Perle' SPARKLE Text wt 70 lb 50 pk8.5 x 11 BLANC (White)
- Malmero Perle' SPARKLE Vermillon (RED) 92 lb 12 x 12 Cardstock 25 pk
- Malmero Perle' SPARKLE A2 Envelopes 50 pk

I used the 6.5" square envelope as the outside piece, and the A2 as the return. The fold-out invitation, RSVP and fold-out Map were all printed on the Malmero Sparkle white paper, and the invitation and RSVP were mounted on the Sparkle Vermillon card stock. I also used an illustration from iStock for the front, and ordered custom guitar picks with their initials/date from "
