Projects using our Cotton CardStock

We would like to introduce you to some work done by a very talented artist who did some projects using our Cotton Card Stock. Her name is Amber Moran and she writes this about herself:
" I grew up in Upstate New York close to my family dairy farm. My work has always been largely influenced by nature, family and music. Most recently it has been influenced by my boys, my brother who always loved my work (even when I didn't think it was so great) and our tropical environment. I have loved to sketch and paint for as long as I can remember and used to draw for hours at a time when I was a young girl. I love color, hand-made paper and book design. I like to work in a variety of media but am currently interested in watercolor and ink, or whatever medium strikes me in that moment. I received my AAS Degree in Computer Art and Design from Alfred State College, my BS in Studio Art from the University at Buffalo and finally my MS from Elmira College in General Education. I now enjoy living in West Palm Beach, Florida with my husband and two young sons"

For this cut-out leaf card, Amber used our Crane's 100% Cotton LETTRA 220# Cover for the base of the card- She hand painted the leaves/plant with watercolor paints on watercolor paper then scanned it into her computer. She used photoshop and publisher to create the card. She printed the card out on our Cotton cardstock and used an exacto knife to cut out the leaf. She used a bone folder to curl the leaf edges and then She embellished the leaves a bit by hand with green and yellow shimmer ink.

For this peacock feather card Amber writes- "I painted the feather with watercolor paints on watercolor paper and then drew on to of the feather with black ink. I scanned the illustration into my computer and used publisher to create the card. After I printed it out I embellished the card by hand with blue, green and gold shimmer ink and also drew a couple more "loops/lines" with black ink. "

For the peacock bird in full card, Amber says - "I drew the peacock on regular sketching paper with black ink. Scanned it into my computer and used publisher to create the card. After printing it out I embellished the bird and some of the text with blue shimmer ink. "

Amber used an InkJet printer to print on the Savoy Cotton Card Stock.
