Gatefold Treat Card

I really love the invitations at Cutcardstock.com - and this month, they're all on sale!

I like the richness of the Pop Tones Hot Fudge color, so I selected the A7 Gatefold card in Hot Fudge for the base of this fun card.

Supplies:
A7 Gatefold Card PopTones Hot Fudge
Basis Olive Cardstock
Curious Metallic Cryogen White Cardstock
Chocolate Ink (I used Close to My Heart)
Tuxedo Black Ink by Memento
Stamps (I used Inkadinkadoo's Kid Sayings and CTMH Family Ties- Children)
Markers (I used Copic markers and Spica pens by Copic)
Adhesive (I used red line tape and Tombow mono adhesive)
Ribbon
Candy of your choice

Step 1:  Fold the Gatefold card using a bone folder for a crisp edge.

Step 2:  Adhere one side of the gatefold card either side using redline tape.  Be sure not to tape the center, as this will create your pocket.

Step 3:  Cut a 3 x 3 piece of Cryogen White cardstock.  Stamp desired images.

Step 4:  Color as desired.  Mat onto a 3 ½  x 3 ½ piece of Basis Olive cardstock.

Step 5:  Adhere image to the top flap of your card, placing adhesive just on the top of the backside of your image.   Leaving the bottom half free of adhesive keeps the card from sticking together at the center.

Step 6:  Stamp sentiment on a 2 x 3½  piece of Cryogen white cardstock.  I also inked my fingertip to add some chocolatey prints to the sentiment.  Place inside the pocket of your card.   Put candy inside the pocket, as well.  Be aware that this pocket is not very wide, so candies that are thin are better, such as fun size Hershey's or M&M's.  The Kit Kat fits nicely, as well.

Step 7:  Wrap your ribbon around the card and tie in front, holding the card together.

Wasn't that easy?  There are so many possibilties for this idea - A special Halloween treat, hot chocolate packets in the winter time, tea bags for a get well card, even a small crayon box as a back to school card or child's birthday card. Can't wait to get started on more!

Happy Stamping!
