Gatefold Valentine Tutorial

I love that Cut Card Stock has scored cards. Their gatefolds are my favorite. This card's flaps meet in the center and give such an elegant look to any card or invitation. Here is the Valentine's card I created today.

Nearly every paper they have has a Gatefold option. Check them out here.
It is an elegant card that can be used for any special person or occasion.

Tutorial
Cut Sparkle Red Malermo Pearle to 5x6.5" and punch the top with an elegant edger. Trim it to size for width, cut down the middle and adhere to the front flaps as shown.

Cut/emboss 2 pieces of grey and white patterned paper from Spellbinders' Picot Edge Circles. Since the squares will be folded in half and put together at the center, cut both pieces at the same time making sure to match up the pattern first.
The two layers match patterns perfectly. Tape in place if needed.

Fold each in half along the vertical axis so the pattern will match and adhere only the front. Fold the back halves inside.

Stamp a heart and love sentiment using red ink onto Sweet Tooth paper.

Cut the heart with a Spellbinder's Scalloped Circle that fits inside the Picot one.

Layer the remaining card elements. Use dimensional adhesive squares under the left side of the stamped heart medallion. This gives you a place to tuck the right card edge.

Trim the Sentiment and add it to the inside with a Sparkle Red Malermo Pearle mat.

Bling up the front with gems and you're done! A sophisticated card that is not difficult to complete.
