Summer Kickoff Series - Table Decor with Lee Ann

Hello, Everyone!

Lee Ann here, sharing fun table decor for your summer backyard gatherings.  Drinking straw embellishments  are so trendy right now, so I made some fun citrus embellies, perfect for glasses of lemonade.

I made lemon, lime and orange slices, using refreshing citrus colors from the Pop Tones Sample Pack.

To make these, die cut a circle in White from the Basis Sample Pack and 2 circles in the color of your choice.

I used the Orange Fizz, Lemon Drop, and Sour Apple card stock from the Pop Tones Sample Pack
My circle sizes are approximately 2 1/8", 2 1/2", and 2 3/4" in diameter.

Cut the smallest circle into eighths.  Slightly round the corners of each piece.  Glue them to the white circle, then glue the white circle to the largest circle and cut the unit in half.
Cut a piece of white card stock- I used Curious Metallic Cryogen White card stock to give it a bit of a shimmer- approximately 1 1/4' x 2 1/2".  Stamp a background image onto your card stock.  This gingham pattern was perfect for picnic/summer backyard entertaining.  Punch holes near both ends of the card stock.

Lastly, smear a small amount of Tombow Mono Multi-Purpose glue over the citrus pieces and sprinkly generously with glitter.

Now all you have to do is glue the citrus wedge to the rectangle card stock and insert the straw through the holes!

There you have it for a super quick and easy project!

I hope you like it and are inspired to try your own summer party decor!
