Simple. Stunning, Summer Thank Yous

Hello Everyone!

Do you need thank yous with a summer flair?  Today I am sharing some easy, summery mini thank yous.

To make these 3 x 3 cards, fold a 3 x 6 piece of Classic Crest Solar White card stock on half.  Cut another piece that is 2.75 x 2.75" in size and die cut a butterfly from it.

Next, die cut the butterfly from a piece of Basis Black card stock

Place the black butterfly behind a piece of clear plastic sheeting, such as acetate. Color this clear sheet with alcohol markers or a sharpie.  Stay within the bounds of the diecut shape.  You can color in mulitple colors, but I chose a monchromatic look, since I knew I was making a set.

Add tiny dots of Tombow Mono Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the back of the butterfly.

Adhere the butterfly to the top of the clear sheet.

I cut out the acetate between the butterfly wing and the antennae (where I am pointing with the tweezers) just because I am picky!  You do not need to do this step if you have not colored in this area with the marker.  :)

Stamp sentiment on white card stock piece.  Place the negative space of the white card stock piece over the black/colored butterfly and adhere in place.  Using 3D Double Sided Foam Tabs, adhere this layer to the card base.

These come together very quickly.  Best thing is, you can get 3 1/8" square envelopes right here!

Thank so much for stopping by today!

Brown Bag Kraft Escort Card Fun

Hi everyone... I'm back with another quick "day of" D.I.Y. element for your wedding or special event!

Escort Card(s)
Today's focus is the escort card. How much a statement these can make on your table when guests first enter your event? The answer is that its huge. Great chance for you to impress. This is a quick way to spice up a brown bag kraft tented card.

Grab your escort cards and an ornate shaped punch, along with your glitter stock.

I think the carmel glitter stock looks great, but other colors, depending on your wedding or party theme will work well too!

Go ahead and punch the front and then affix the glitter underneath. You should be able to neatly affix a small square backing here. You might feel more comfortable with a square that is the same size as your tent flap though. Just might be a "cleaner" solution.

Even with this decorative element now in the front of your escort cards, you will still find plenty of room for the guests name above the shape and the table assignment can go on the inside flap or underneath!

Take care til' next time guys and happy crafting!

July BBQ

Summertime is full of fun parties and BBQ's, why not make simple homemade invites.
I used the CutCardStock cream Neenah Linen already folded invites to create my card.

I then matted my polka dotted patterned paper with CutCardStock Basic Black cardstock
to give my card a pop. It's amazing what black matting can do for a card.

I then used a small brown paper bag for my main embellishment,
It reminded me of a backyard BBQ. Along with ribbon, some letter and scallop stickers, a July month tag, and a couple of Lemon die cuts... walls my card is finished, and the BBQ fun can begin!

Thank you

Celebrating Baby!

Hello Everyone!

Today's project is an invitation for baby!  It seems every time I turn around someone is having another baby!  Here is a simple minimal stamping invite that will wow all of your family and friends!

For this project, I wanted a near white card with a pop of pastel color.  I used some Top Dog Dies to die cut my cardstock from CutCardstock.
1.  Make a card base from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock.  Diecut a piece of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock with a border die, in this case a Hearts Border die, which is 1 3/4" in width.

Mount the border die on a piece of Curious Metallic Cryogen White cardstock that is just  a smidge wider; mine is 1 7/8".  The Cryogen White cardstock gives just a bit of pretty glimmer and shine through the negative space of the die cut.

2.  Using a corner die, die cut 8 scallop edge corners, 2 each of 4 colors.  I have used Coral, from the Basis Sample Pack,  Orange Fizz, Berrylicious and Bubble Gum from the Pop Tones Sample Pack.

Glue your die cut corners along the back edge of the Hearts Border die panel, creating a scalloped edge.
3.  Make a bottom mat for the card base from the Cotton Candy cardstock from the Pop Tones Sample Pack.  Cut a Neenah Classic Crest Solar White panel just a bit smaller than the Cotton Candy panel and emboss it with a polka dot embossing folder.  Adhere these panels to the card base.
4.  Wrap a piece of Sheer Organza Ribbon in white around the scalloped panel, from top to bottom, and make a bow.  Adhere this completed panel to the left side of the card.
5.  Make tags- stamp a sentiment on a piece of Neenah Crest Solar White cardstock and cut  it to approximately 1 1/4" x 4".  I stamped my main sentiment in black and then stamped a smaller sentiment ('for baby') in a pale pinky peach color, randomly covering the entire tag.   Punch a notch in the end of this sentiment panel as shown, creating a tag.

Repeat this with the Bubble Gum cardstock and Coral cardstock, making them about 7/8" and 5/8" x 4 inches.  Cut notches in these.  Layer your banners and tuck them under the bow.  Add pearls to the scalloped panel beneath the bow.  Add a button and baker's twine to the bow center.

That 's it!  Pretty easy!  I hope I have inspired you!
