Designing a sympathy card can be a time to bring elegance to an unforeseeable event. Generally I save the elegant cards for the more touching times in a person's life.
I have had a bundle of peacock feathers lying around for over a year. I needed the right colored paper to use them though!
I kinda made this card up as I went. I wanted some different textures and layers. My Sizzix Big Shot was the perfect tool to help with bringing texture in.
I was curious to know how this paper embosses.
I ran it through my machine once and it did perfect! This cardstock is a nice heavy duty paper, perfect for embossing.
I also wanted to test the metallic pack and see if it was able to hold ink well without smearing. It was perfect! No smearing, quick drying, and cut perfectly.
I decided I needed some flowers for this card. I am using the Silhouette Cameo 3 here. The blade is at a 6, cut level 30, and double cut to make sure the thick cardstock was cut accurately. I was impressed with the strength of this paper.
After cutting out the flowers, I decided to ink the edges with some simple gold chalk ink I had lying around.
Threw it all together, added a ribbon and I was pleasantly pleased with the outcome!
Beautiful design!
