Man Cards

I don't know about you, but I never have enough cards for the men in my life. I decided I would make a set of cards that I can send to my favorite guys.

I started with a Basis A-2 White Folded Invitation, Basis Brown Cardstock (4.25" x 5.5"), Basis Light Brown Cardstock (3.75" x 5"), Basis Green Cardstock (3 1/8" x 4 1/8"), Savoy 100% Cotton Cardstock and a Brown Bag Kraft A2 Envelope. (I ended up making four cards.)

I embossed the Basis Light Brown cardstock with a woodgrain embossing folder and inked it with VersaMark Ink to create a tone on tone effect to bring out the woodgrain.

I used Ground Espresso Distress Ink to in the edges of the woodgrain paper.

I stamped the Crazy Bird and sentiment on the Savoy 100 % Cotton Cardstock and watercolored it with my Gansai Tambi watercolors.

I tied a piece of twine around the bottom of the wood grained cardstock.

I layered the pieces adding brads and foam squares.  I love how they turned out. I actually made a set of 4 cards. I should be ready for the next set of birthdays.
