Get Well Soon Card

Are you a fan of glitter? I love all things with glitter. I love the sparkle you get from glitter but the one thing I don't like about glitter is the mess. I want glitter on my projects not on everything else. The Silver Glitter cardstock is glittery but without the mess.

Supplies used for this card:
Silver Glitter cardstock
Basis Cardstock in - Dark Purple and Light Purple
Embossing/Die cutting folder
Gilding Wax
Adhesive
Gems
Sentiment
Silver ink

I started by running both my Silver Glitter and Light Purple cardstock through my die cutting machine with the die/emboss folder. I just wanted the butterflies from the  Silver Glitter cardstock so after I ran it thru my die cutting machine I took my scissors and cut the butterflies apart.

I took my silver ink and ran it over the embossing on the Light Purple cardstock to help some of the details pop off the page more.

I folded the edges back on both sides of the Light Purple cardstock that is what I used to attach my paper to my Dark Purple cardstock. I was planning on taping the butterfly die cut right over the Dark Purple cardstock like in the picture below but thought it needed more glitter so I ended up cutting a piece of Silver Glitter cardstock to size the same height as the Light Purple cardstock but a little bit smaller on the width so I could wrap the piece of Light Purple cardstock that I die cut around the edges having it pop off the Silver Glitter cardstock a little bit.

Then I matted it to the Dark Purple cardstock. I added my butterflies with strong glue so they would stay put. I needed a sentiment so I die cut one and glued it into were I had the little opening.

As a finishing touch I just glued some little gems along the butterflies.
