Clean and Simple Encouragement

Clean and simple will always be my favorite when it comes to card making.  I love to start with a crisp, white backdrop, then take it from there with a cute and colorful focal point.  For today's project, I started with my favorite basic white card stock from the Cut Cardstock shop--Cougar White Super Smooth 100lb, and added some adorable fortune cookie stamps for a happy encouragement card.

To give my little cookies a place to rest, I brushed some light blue watercolor over the center of my note card.  This heavier card stock takes watercolor paints really well.  I set the card aside to dry for a bit and got to work on my stamping.

After stamping 3 cookies onto some more Cougar White, I colored them with Copics in bright, cheery colors.  This card stock is great with Copics too!

The stamps came with a matching die, so I cut each one out and placed them on the front of the card over the watercolored area.

I adhered 2 of them flat with tape runner, then popped the middle one up with foam squares for interest.

Those cookies just "pop" against the crisp white!

Thanks for joining me today.  If you like making CAS cards with lots of white card stock--you're in "luck"--white and cream card stock in on sale this month over at the CutCardstock shop!
