Emboss Resist Sympathy Card

Hello, again! I'm so happy to be sharing another one of my cards with you today.
Let's jump right in!

To begin, I cut a panel from Classic Crest 130lb white cardstock at 3.75”x 5”. I chose to use this cardstock because it's a very high quality, sturdy cardstock that can withstand both heat embossing and ink blending.

I used Versamark Watermark ink and Ranger Super Fine Detail embossing powder in Clear to stamp and heat emboss the Simon Says Stamp Nature Mandala background stamp.

I began ink blending using Distress Ink in Gathered Twigs; using a heavier hand at the bottom and a lighter hand as I moved up the card.

I then used Distress Ink in Scattered Straw.

Finally, I used Distress Ink in Antique Linen. I cut a panel at 4”x 5.25” from the Core'dinations Chocolate Lovers paper pack and adhered my white panel to that.

I then adhered that to a base made from the same white cardstock as the white panel.

Next, I used Memento ink in Rich Cocoa to stamp a simple sentiment.

I cut my stamped sentiment out with a simple banner die and adhered it to the lower right side of the card.

There you have it! A very beautiful sympathy card. They're not my favorite cards to give to people but it's always good to have a few at the ready.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my blog post tutorial. If you'd like to see more of my work you can find me over on my blog, on Facebook, or on Instagram.

Have a beautiful day.
