Stardream Envelope Liners

I take a lot of pictures during the holidays, and sometimes I want to send copies to loved ones along with a Christmas message.  I like to use bigger envelopes for this to fit the pictures and maybe pop in a flat card with a quick greeting to accompany the pictures.

For today's project, I'm using Leader Opaque A7 size envelopes along with Classic Crest Bright White 110 lb. 5x7 cardstock for my message.  The envelopes are great because they are 5.25" x 7.25"--the perfect size for 4x6 pictures.  I just got this new envelope die from Sizzix that I've been wanting to try out, so I thought it would be fun to add some decoration to my envelopes.

I used Stardream Metallic Silver cardstock to die cut the larger envelope liners from the die set.  I love the way this cardstock gleams.  A really pretty shimmer!

I scored the upper portion of the die cut so it could be folded easily with the envelope flap.

I used my tape runner to adhere the liners to the inside of the envelopes and added one of the word embellishments to the inside using Stardream Metallic in Lagoon.

For the outside flap of the envelope, I die cut the smaller envelope liner in more Lagoon, adding the little cut-out piece that came with the die set.

I used some liquid glue to adhere just the flap of the die cut to the outside of the envelope flaps.

I added some simple stamping and coloring to my flat cards along with a little washi strip at the bottom.

It's great to have a bunch of these flat cards made up ahead of time for popping in the mail last minute.  Adding just a bit of decoration to your envelopes makes it a little more special too.  Thanks so much for joining me today and be sure to head over to the shop for the sale on Stardream Metallic cardstock.  There are so many glimmery colors available.  Perfect for holiday crafting!
