Two Metallic Die Cut Cards

Hi crafty friends! Ana here with a fun post for you today using gorgeous Curious Metallics cardstock and dies! No stamping in today’s projects 😊 Curious Metallics has become my favorite shimmer/metallic cardstock! I have never seen prettier paper!! If you like shine, beautiful papers, and die-cutting, you’ll love these projects.

I started with choosing the colors for my projects and decided on Night and Champagne Curious Metallics colors, and Stardream Metallics in Venus.

For my first card, I used Night Curious Metallics as my background and Venus “negative” cuts for the front panel. I aligned my dies around the A2 size piece of cardstock creating a design, then used my negative (larger leftover) piece to create the design. I made sure I kept all the parts from the die cuts for my second project. I die cut the sentiment from Night cardstock as well to match my background.
Below is the photo of my finished project 😊 Don’t you just LOVE that shine – and I have to say pictures don’t do this cardstock justice!

For my second card, I have used the die cut pieces (Venus Stardream Metallics) from the first project. I used Champagne color for the background on this card as I wanted a softer look but still a lot of shine.

I die cut the sentiment from Venus as well to match my swirls, then started adhering them as pictured above. I used the first card as my guide to making sure all pieces are placed in the right area.
Depending on an angle you’re looking at this card (shown on photos) you’ll see that the color of the paper changes – how awesome is that!
To finish off my cards, I added a few gems/sequins to each card.
I hope you liked today’s cards and got inspired to try out these beautiful papers and use them as a focal point on your projects as they really deserve the spotlight!

Thank you so much for stopping by today, and I wish you happy crafting! 😊
