Clear Artistic Stamps

I am super duperly excited to write up this post today. I have met one of the sweetest ladies in this industry. She clearly (hehehe) is a fantastic artist with one super Design Team.

Today we are spotlighting the work of Clear Artistic Stamps Design Team and the Owner Belinda Landtroop.

Here is Belinda's Story:

I started as a freelance artist and doing fine art. My favorite medium is Pen & Ink. Which is great for drawing and with three children I have drawn everywhere. I’ve drawn in the doctor’s waiting room, sitting in the car waiting for school to let out, at a basketball game, a band concert and anywhere I had the chance. Now add to that my love of creating! Like the time I decided to save money and reupholster our living room sofa with fabric I got on sale. My husband didn’t share my excitement at first. Something about finding his sofa in the yard stripped of everything and me with a smile saying, I was reupholstering it, didn’t thrill him. Could be because I didn’t know anything about reupholstering. It took me a week but it turned out great. Although, I did do a little redesign so all the pieces would fit back together.

Creating was a part of most of my freelance jobs, such as making cards. While I was doing card designs, as samples to show my art, I began thinking about starting my own stamp company. I found I loved creating the cards almost as much as doing the artwork. Plus I had done work for several rubber stamp companies. These fine companies are among them Cornish Heritage Farms, Time To Stamp (now sold through I Brake for Stamps), Scottish Borders Stamp Company, Innovative Stamp Creations and Frantic Fran’s Rubber Stamps.

I had finished working with a stamp company and hadn’t started with another. It seemed the perfect time to start my own. It took a lot of work. Searching for the best clear product and testing it. Drawing lots of designs for stamp sets. Packaging, headers, stickers, bags and lots more had to be priced and checked for quality. Then, the bookkeeping, records, files and office work.

The good thing was my husband has an engineering background and knows manufacturing. Even better he worked for free! Well, maybe a few kisses as a bonus. We started in October of 2007 and opened Clear Artistic Stamps in January 2008. It’s been a wonderful experience, a little scary at times, but we love it and all the great people we have met.

Wow Belinda not quite sure what my hubby would have done if he caught me trying to reupholster the couch. What a team you guys make !

Belinda A. Landtroop is also a fine artist, graphic artist, writer of children’s stories and a poet. She has won awards for her fine art in watercolor, acrylic, pen & ink and mixed media. Her graphic art includes card design, pencil designs, rubber stamp designs and other products. Belinda’s book “Whispers of Love a Poetry Journal” sold out and she is working on her next one. She is the Owner and artist of Clear Artistic Stamps.
