Perfect Pockets Mini Album

This is such a fun and easy project - you can make several in one evening or in stages!  This makes a cute gift for a new grandparent, an end of the year Thank You to a special teacher, or as a mini album showcasing one event, as I have created here.

Supplies needed:
One A9 size Basis Perfect Pockets Card (I used red)
Coordinating Patterned Paper (I used Close to My Heart's Fanfare Paper pack)
Inexpensive 8 1/2" x 11" plastic page protectors (you'll need one for every two photos)
Paper Trimmer
Hole Punch
Two large brads
One 8 1/2" x 11" sheet Blanc Malmero Perle cardstock
Printer or Alphabet Stamps or both
Coordinating Embellishments
5x7 photos - I used 11 photos

Step 1:  Cut the 8 1/2" x 11" page protectors in the following manner.  First, cut off the strip with the holes in it, leaving the inside seam intact.  Then, cut the page protector with the bottom seam at the 5 1/4" mark.  Then, cut 1/2" off the side opposite your side seam.

Step 2:  Score the card 1" on either side of the fold (opposite the pocket).

Step 3:  Holding the scored section as above, punch holes in at 1 1/2" and 4", about 1/2" from the edge.  Place the page protectors inside the card, flush with the inside fold.  Using the card as your guide, re-punch holes through the page protectors. Continue to hold the album together as you set your brads to hold the pages in place.  (You can also then expand your book at any time by opening the brads and adding more pages!)

Step 4:  For the cover:  Cut a 4 1/2" x 6 1/4" mat and adhere, centered on the front of your album.  Then, place a 4" x 5 3/4" patterned paper on top, centered.   I stamped the title on Blanc Malmero Perle using Close to My Heart's Pacifica ink and their Friendship Alphabet set.  I also fussy cut some stars from the patterned paper to adhere to my title.

Step 5:  Inside Covers:  This space may be used for additional photos, journaling, a personalized note, or information about your photos.  Again, I used Blanc Malmero Perle cardstock to print a description of my photos.  For the other inside cover, I adhered CTMH's fanfare patterned paper cut to 5 1/2" x 5".

Step 6:  Pocket:  Cut a 2 5/8" x 5 1/4" patterned paper and adhere inside.  I used a sentiment from Close to My Heart's Horizon stamp set.  The pocket is perfect for smaller photos, memoribilia, additional journaling, you name it!

Step 7:  Insert your photos into the protectors and adhere one photo to the back of the album.

Wasn't that fun and easy?  Just imagine the variety of fun ways you can give a memory using these Perfect Pockets cards!

Happy Stamping!
