Quick & Easy Halloween Invite

Your goblin just came home shouting, "I want a haunted house party!"  What's a monster mother to do?  Grab some card stock, clear stamps, a bit of ribbon and bling -- and in no time at all you'll have several adorably scary invitations for your little ghoul to hand out at school!

Step 1:  Break out the good stuff -- the Cut Card Stock Pop Tones "Orange Fizz" and cut several 8.5" x 11" pieces in half; score in the middle and you've got invitation/card bases.

Step 2:  Find leftover patterned paper in Halloween colors...orange, black, purple OR cut up a few pages of an old dictionary or book to use as the invitation/card's front.  These should be cut to 4" x 5.25" and adhered to the front of the invitation/card.  (I used some old 7 Gypsies "Angelo" patterned paper for this sample)

Step 3:  Don't settle for second best -- get your Cut Card Stock Neenah Classic Crest 80# in Solar White and cut several pieces to 2" x 4".

Step 4:  You're on a roll -- get your new favorite clear stamps from Fresh Squeezed Stamps, you know the set called Subway Series: Holidays, and ink up the Halloween stamp in black or purple ink; stamp away!  Add a little Distress Ink along the edges to scarify it, too!

Step 5:  Almost done!  Back the stamped piece in Pop Tones "Black Licorice" and while you're at it, punch out some black bats.  Adhere the stamped piece with the black backing to the card front and add a few purple rhinestones at the bottom.  Tie some ribbon along the edge and throw on that punched bat with a bit of foam tape for "lift"!

Step 6:  Print out the details of your Haunted House Party (either on your printer or by hand) and adhere inside the invitation/card.

Stop by the market for some tricks and treats, then sit back and enjoy the party!
