Bon Voyage Treat Bags and Bidding The Design Team Adieu

It seems like it was just yesterday I did my first post as a new Design Team member for the CutCardstock.com blog and here I am doing my last. It's been such a great opportunity to share this space with such talented and creative paper crafters.

With my son in college, I no longer send lunches to school but I've always loved the simple elegance and functionality of a brown paper lunch bag. My mom and auntie are going on a little trip and I thought it would be fun to send them off with some treats.

I used the  color of the lunch bags as my inspiration and wanted to keep things simple so I went with White Malmero Perle and Kraft cardstocks to decorate my bags.

This is a super simple project.  For the front of the bags, I cut two different sized labels from the white cardstock using my die cutting machine. Layer with foam dots and finish with a coordinating paper flower.

The toppers were very very simple. Cut two pieces of white card stock 5x6 and score in the middle. Trim one side with decorative edge scissors. Cut smaller panels of kraft and white cardstocks and layer as shown. Stamp sentiment and finish with washi tape:

I stapled some scraps of ribbon to each side when I stapled the toppers to the bags.

Again, wishing the new Design Team all the best. Can't wait to see what beautiful ideas they share. And thanks to everyone at CutCardstock.com for the wonderful opportunity. Truly a great experience working with you and so glad to have a source for my cardmaking needs!
