Out of This World

Adventure is worthwhile in itself.

Hey everyone. It's Linda McClain again.

Congratulations to the newest members of the cutcardstock design team! I know you're going to love their work and I can't wait to see what the make for us.

My tenure with cutcardstock.com is just about to come to an end. I've had a blast playing with you and these fabulously talented ladies at cutcardstock.com. For my almost-last card, I wanted to bring a little bit of Texas to you with a tribute to Nasa's Space Center. So, Houston . . . we have lift-off.

My little astronaut is Copic colored, paper pieced and fussy cut. To color his face I used my favorite standbys: Copic Markers E30, E11 and E000 and some Stampin' Up! Pastels (chalks) for his cheeks.

Copic markers are my go-to color medium, and these markers work best with a paper that has a smooth surface and tight paper fibers. I've tried just about all the varieties of paper out there, and hands down, Neenah is my favorite. So, of course, I used Neenah cardstock to create this little astronaut. Lucky us! Neenah is on sale this month.

Here's the inside of this birthday card.

I'll be back soon, and until then, I'll see you at Catered Crop
