Holiday Countdown Series, Day 8

Wow... I've been so inspired by the projects in this series! Amber here, and I hope you're enjoying the work of the Design Team, and that you feel inspired to share a little of your craftiness this season. Today I'm sharing a fun way to spice up otherwise simple treat bags.

I think this is a great way to pass out a little cheer this season. You could add a gift card in the bag, or homemade (or store bought) cookies, scratch off lottery tickets, cash... you name it!

I started with Neenah Solar white, my go-to for Copic coloring. I stamped my images using a black ink that is safe for alcohol markers.

I used my Misti so I could stamp a lot of images at one time, and double stamp them if I didn't get a crisp outline. I also turned my page around so I could color double images and make a couple treat toppers at once.

After I colored the images, I die cut them with the coordinating dies. If I didn't have the matching dies, I would just fussy cut them.

I cut my folded topper base from Stardream Metallic Fairway (Stardream Metallics are on sale this month!). I made it as wide as my treat bag, and twice as tall as I wanted it to be so I could score and fold it in half. I also cut a couple of snow banks out of the Neenah cardstock.

Then I just adhered all the pieces down to create the little scene. This topper is complete, so I just filled the bag with goodies and then adhered this over the folded top of the treat bag.

I hope you have enjoyed this project and the entire series. We have a few more days of projects in store for you, so be sure to check back!
