Valentine Confetti and A7 Envies!

Hello there! It's Kristie Larsen here and I wanted to wish a Happy New Year to all of you! It's feeling good, the beginning of this 2016. I hope good things come to each of you as this year progresses. For today I wanted to share a quick Valentine card. A simple one and not too gushy but with a little sweetness thrown in.

I started with these three beautiful colours of Stardream Metallic card stock and die cut some confetti arrows and hearts. I also cut some hearts from vellum because I love the softness vellum gives. I put these aside for when my card was complete.

I next cut some card stock to make a 5x7 card base. I then stamped my tree image and inked a grassy hill with two different shades of ink.
I then coloured in my tree with some Copic markers. I used shades that would complement my confetti. I added one confetti heard to the bottom of my "squiggle" stamp.

After colouring I folded a vellum strip in half. The reason I did this was to give it a bit more strength but also the double layer helps hide the adhesive a bit better. And a BIG NOTE here: Tombo Mono adhesive is GREAT for using with vellum! I am so happy to know about it. I have used Glossy Accents in the past but it bleeds through and makes the vellum hard and kind of curls the vellum at the edge. Tombo Mono did a great job of blending in and adheres great. Love it!

I chose to use this A7 envelope from the Flavours Gourmet line. And let me just say, this is a GORGEOUS shade of grey.
It's named "Smoked Sea Salt" which in and of itself makes me hungry, but the colour and texture is divine. I also love the deep "V" flap it has. Very elegant.
After filling out the card I put in my confetti so when the recipient opens it, there is a little extra love to enjoy!

And that's it! My first Valentine card of the season! Thanks for stopping in today. Be sure to check out the CutCardStock.com store today. There is a great deal going on for all A7 envelopes! You can stock up and give cards all year round in style!
Hope you have a great day.
xoxo
