Elf Candy Bar Wrappers

Welcome to Day 2 of the Holiday Countdown series for 2018!  I hope you're enjoying these quick and simple project ideas perfect for last-minute holiday crafting.

Today I'm sharing a super easy and festive way to package some small treats for neighbors, co-workers, or even your favorite delivery person.  Let them know you appreciate them with these cute elf candy bar wrappers!

Start by trimming a piece of Pop Tone Cotton Candy, Wild Cherry, or Gumdrop Green cardstock to 4.25" x 5.5" for each candy bar you want to wrap.  (This size works for a normal Hershey bar, but may need to be adjusted for other varieties.)

Emboss each panel with a fun wintry design for a little added interest (tone-on-tone stamping with a simple holiday pattern would also work nicely here).

To create the trim pieces, die-cut small strips of Pop-Tone Sweet Tooth and Lemon Drop cardstocks with scalloped or pinking edge dies and cut them to 4.25" long.

Buckles can be created by die cutting Gold Bright Foil cardstock with two different sizes of square nesting dies.

Trim Pop Tone Black Licorice and Wild Cherry cardstocks to 0.75" x 4.25" to create belts for each type of candy wrapper.

Assembly is a cinch!  Using liquid glue, adhere a trim piece to the top and bottom of the embossed panel, then glue the belt in the center with the gold buckle on top.  (Note: You can stop here and add one of these panels to an A2-sized card base for a quick holiday card as well.)

Once the glue has dried completely, wrap the panel around the candy bar and secure in the back with more liquid glue.  You can make dozens of these easy wrappers in no time!

I hope you enjoyed this quick and festive gift idea and thanks so much for stopping by today!  You can visit the CutCardStock store to purchase any of the supplies showcased today and remember that red, green and white cardstocks are on sale this month!
