Paper Bouquets using Curious Metallic Cardstocks and Paper

Randi Dickinson, a very talented artist,  from Spokane, Washington made these beautiful BOUQUETS using Curious Metallics from CutCardstock.com
Information about the pink/white/copper bouquet:

This bouquet is an updated twist on Victorian paper flowers. Each petal has been hand cut out of cardstock and wrapped around an 18 gauge wire stem and wrapped with florists tape to secure the blossom. In Victorian times, women would craft similar flowers for use as home decor during the winter month when fresh blooms were not available. They make a great alternative to fresh flowers for gifts, weddings, and decor.
This soft bouquet consists of two pearl-centered peonies in Curious Metallics "Bloom" and "Nude," three simple roses in "White Gold," a rose in "Cognac" with a dusty rose shimmery tulle, and 3 light pink roses from assorted vintage papers.

Here is a little information from Randi:
"Just a little about myself: I am an artist with a bachelor's degree in studio art. My academic emphasis is in painting, drawing and life drawing (figures/portraits). Recently I have gotten more into graphic design and am enjoying it despite telling myself that I wouldn't ever be interested in graphic design.

I have a serious love for paper and most of my work reflects that. Bookbinding became a passion of mine while in art school creating altered books and sketchbooks for myself. After all, who wants to sketch in an ugly store-bought book! I started creating these for others as a way to help unleash their creativity too.

I have so many crafty interests including knitting, crochet, scrapbooking, screen printng, beading, resin, leather working, and lots more! So if my shop seems a little mixed its because I am addicted to crafts! : ) I have an eclectic style and my shop changes often, so take a peek and come back often.

If you have any questions for me, or are interested in a custom order, I am very convo friendly.

I am a proud member, and President, of the Eastern Washington Etsy Team! Shop our team by searching for easternwateam. If you are looking for information on how to join the team visit: http://www.ewateam.blogspot.com/p/how-do-i-join-team.html "

Grey, Black, White and Red bouquet:

This bouquet is an updated twist on Victorian paper flowers. Each petal has been hand cut out of cardstock and wrapped around an 18 gauge wire stem and wrapped with florists tape to secure the blossom. In Victorian times, women would craft similar flowers for use as home decor during the winter month when fresh blooms were not available. They make a great alternative to fresh flowers for gifts, weddings, and decor.
This dramatic bouquet consists of one black-pearl centered peony in Curious Metallics "Red Lacquer," three simple roses in "Shadow," and 3 sheet music roses with shimmery black tulle from assorted vintage song books.

Below is more work using the Curious Metallic Cryogen White 89# cover weight and Copic Markers.
Karen Wallace from Savanna, Illinois  sent us some photos of her work.  She  wrote this about the Cryogen white"  I use it on all cards that I am going to use my copic markers on, it’s so much easier to blend the copics and the shimmer shows through even after using the copic markers and air compressor for air brushing. I love this paper and am taking a large amount of it to our get together in Chicago this year to show people how nice it is.   Karen Wallace"

Be sure to stop by her blog and see more of her work:   Karen's Kreations .  A special Thank you to Karen -- we will be emailing you an E-Gift Certificate that you can use on your next purchase!

We would like to share a couple of Cards Created by Designer Traci Patena from Newark, Ohio.
Here is a little information about Traci:
"My name is Traci, and I'm a stay-at-home Mommy to Sophia. In my former life, I taught 5th grade. I've been scrapbooking since 2000 and would love to share my hobby w/ you to help preserve your family's memories. I find my creative inspirations in lots of places--sometimes magazines or sketches, new fads (like Amy Butler papers!), and even from my daughter (just made her a Dora altered lunch tin).

Lately, I've ventured into the world of custom invitations and party supplies after not being able to find exactly what I was looking for elsewhere.

As for custom invitations, I love knowing that my creative touch is helping to make someone else's special day absolutely perfect. I really work hard to make sure that my invitations are exactly what you're looking for whether they're for birthdays, weddings, etc. I'm now venturing out to include other party supplies like banners, cupcake toppers, napkin rings, placecards, thank you notes, etc., so you can truly have a matching customized party!"

Traci created a card using our Curious Metallics.  She actually created this card using some of the small samples  from the Sample pack we send with each of our orders. Traci wrote the following about the card that she created:  " --fall-themed card using their white blank notecard along with matted layers of Red Lacquer, Cognac, and Serpentine metallic cardstocks. I then used leaf diecuts in the various colors above plus Olive and Antique Gold to create this classic, elegant fall card. These pictures really do not do justice to this beautiful metallic paper. The sheen really dresses up the card, and I think it could be perfect for fall-themed wedding cards. It's finished off with a ribbon by Stampin' Up."
Click  HERE to see all the Curious Metallic Colors and to read more about the paper and the colors.

Traci also created a Card using the Astrobright Folded Note Cards.  She used the Stardust White, a very popular color with its white background and flecks of confetti like colors.
Here is what Traci wrote about this particular card:  " --spring/ summer handstamped butterfly card using the white blank notecard from cutcardstock.com along with matted layers of Hot Chocolate and Blue Raspberry cardstocks. I then handstamped butterflies using various spring/ summer ink colors onto their white cardstock before punching the butterflies out w/ a square punch and adhering them to the matted layers. The card is completed with a polka dot ribbon from Stampin' Up and a birthday sentiment.'"

We want to say THANK YOU to Traci for creating with products from CutCardStock.com  Be sure to stop by her blog T and Little S Designs Blog and her store Etsy Store T and Little S Designs see more of her creations.
