Father's Day is in a few days and I decided Dad, or should I say Pop, needed a card a little outside the box. I used a Whimsie Doodle digi card template and some great CutCardStock to make my bucket of Popcorn.
Start with a 4.25 x 5.5" Classic Neenah Solar White card base made from a 4.25 x 11" piece of cardstock. Print out the Movie Night Card digi on computer paper and fussy cut it out to make your template. (I do not have a Silhouette, so no machine cutting!). To cut the card into the shape of the popcorn bucket, allow some of the popcorn image to hang off the top folded edge of the card.
This will keep the card a card, instead of two separate cut pieces of cardstock!
Once you have cut your shaped card, fussy cut out the bucket image and number the stripes so that you can keep the pieces in order when you cut them apart.
Cut the bucket stripes in Neenah Classic Solar White Cardstock and Red Hot (red) Cardstock from the Pop-tones Sample Pack. Adhere them in the right order to your card base.
Now print the Popcorn image on the Whip Cream color cardstock from the Pop-Tones Sample Pack. Fussy cut it out and adhere it to the card base.
Use the extra popcorn images as a template and cut additional pieces of popcorn. Using a fine tip black marker, doodle a light line around the edge of the extra pieces of popcorn; adhere them to the main popcorn image using dimensionals. Using Copic Markers Y00 and Y13, add some 'butter' around the edges of the popcorn and in the shadows of the popped up pieces.
The sentiment is computer generated and printed on Classic Neenah Solar White Cardstock. It is cut out in an oval using a Stampin' Up Oval Framelit. Doodle around the oval and adhere it to the bucket of popcorn.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Love this! I am going to totally do this for a friend of mine... I wasn't able to make her 20 year anniversary party so I'd like to send her and her hubby a Fandango gift card... The popcorn will be perfect!
