I started by collecting items that would work together to create the theme I was going for. I will be adding a few pictures from our Christmas celebration, so I chose some Neenah Desert Storm Kraft, Pop Tones Gumdrop Green and Basis Red cardstocks. I also grabbed some washi tape, chipboard and glitter snowflakes, some stamps and an assortment of pens.
I cut my cardstock down to create the inserts I'll need based on the openings in the sheet protector. For mine, I cut four pieces to 4 x 6", and four to 3 x 4". Then, I just got creative. I used a couple of sentiments together to create a word background and then added some embellishment. I stamped a background stamp and used a good amount of washi tape.
I created a journaling card by drawing lines with a Signo White gel pen so I can write details later when I add the photos.
Here's how it looks in my album; it's all ready for a couple of those great Christmas morning photos of the kiddos!
