Ink Blending Easter Picks

Happy Easter, Peeps! Amber here, and I hope you're enjoying the Spring/Easter inspiration from our Design Team. I'm here to share a little project I made that would add a special touch to an Easter basket this year (or stuck in a potted plant, or tied on to a gift... you name it!)

I started with pieces of Curious Metallic Cryogen White. I love the sparkle in this cardstock, and even after the ink was applied, the shimmer was reminiscent of sugar on marshmallow peeps. The distress ink added subtle color - just what I was going for.

I stamped the outline image and then die cut all four, so that I could have both front and back sides to my little buddies. For an extra little something, I used an ultra thin glue dot to adhere little pom poms for the tails.

I adhered my finished pieces to a dowel piece that I painted white. You could easily use a popsicle stick, mini straw or something else you have on-hand. The glue dots really hold cardstock together!

I think this is a great way of taking a mostly store bought gift and adding in just a simple touch of homemade. Hope you enjoy!

  1. Amber, these peeps are super cute and they indeed resemble the real ones. They make them next town :).
