Featuring Dad

Hello all, Agnes here!
My project for today was made using Cricut images.
I found the "weightlifter" in the Carousel cartridge and immediately brought back memories of my husband's weight lifting days. Let me tell you we still have heavy weights and exercise equipment stored around the house. He does not want to get rid of them because of that "someday" we all know will never come, lol.

The card is very simple and does not need many "step by step instructions" to recreate.
The main character here is Mr. Strongman, of course, image #M3A29E in the Cricut Access Library.

Here are all the parts after being cut: Featuring: Carousel- #M3B336
DAD: Birthday Bash Font, SUPER: Cricut Office Help- #M3262D, Film Banner: Bits and Pieces- #MFB211.
The rest of the cuts are just rectangular panels to use on the card.
(Oh! the tie was fuzzy cut from a DCWV stack).

The cardstock used is from the Basis Collection, (80# cardstock) and the Cricut Explore dial was set to "cardstock+" to cut.  You can also customize this setting since "not all creatures are created equal", :).

The gray panel measures 3 x6" which is the size of the card and the yellow striped is just a 1/4" narrower.
Mr. Strongman was manipulated a bit in order to fit the panels. He ended up measuring 3 x 3.63" and it was popped up using Darice foam tape squares.

All cuts were adhered using trusty Mr. Tombow glue and the rest is history, :). I mean the rest is the finished Strongman card, wink-wink.

Instead using a long piece of cardstock, I cut two panels, adhered them at the top and that is how I made this tall tent card today. Do not forget to score about 1/4" from the top to make it easier to open.
Very simple.

It was a pleasure using the Basis Collection.
Time to say " see you later".

Thanks a bunch for visiting and we wish you a beautiful day!
