Dreamy Framed Art

Looking for a fun decor project that you easily complete in just an afternoon?  This dreamy framed art is perfect for a nursery or kid's room and would make a great baby shower gift too!

Start by trimming a piece of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock to fit your particular frame (here I'm using a 5" x 7" frame).  Using low-tack tape, mask a half-inch border off around the edge of the entire piece as shown above.

Apply blue, purple, and black ink over the entire cardstock panel with an ink blending tool.  Overlap the bands of different colors to create a smooth gradient.

Leaving the taped border in place, lay a falling star stencil over the piece and secure with more tape.   (If you don't have a stencil, you can always create a temporary one with a star punch and a piece of cardstock.) Apply silver metallic embellishment mousse or embossing paste through the stencil.  Immediately remove the stencil and clean up any excess mousse when finished.

Remove the low-tack tape from your panel and allow to dry completely (I left mine for about 30 minutes).

Die-cut the dream sentiment four times from Basis Black Cardstock and once from Silver Bright Foil Cardstock.  Adhere them all together with Tombow Mono Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue, placing the silver foil die-cut on top.

Adhere the layered sentiment to the center of your inked panel with more liquid glue and place your piece in a frame.

I hope you enjoyed this simple framed art project and thanks so much for stopping by today!  Be sure to visit the CutCardStock store to purchase any of the supplies showcased today and remember that Classic Crest and Linen Cardstocks are on sale this month!
