Start by trimming Neenah Classic Crest Cardstock (110 lb.) to 7" x 10" and 4" x 6" and scoring the larger piece in the center to form a top-folding card base. Then trim a sheet of Basis Green Cardstock to 4.875" x 6.875" and 4.125" x 6.125" and a piece of Wild Cherry Pop-Tone Cardstock to 4.75" x 6.75" (this creates a very fine 1/16th border on our layers).
Emboss the Wild Cherry panel with a snowflake embossing folder. (Pop-Tone Cardstocks work great with embossing folders!)
To bring out the pattern even more, I lightly added white pigment ink to the embossed panel with a foam ink blending tool. (A white shimmer ink would look beautiful here too!)
Adhere the green mats to both layers with tape runner and then adhere the large matted red panel to the folded card base.
To add a little interest, I tied some pretty plaid Christmas ribbon around two ends of the focal image panel.
Pop the panel up on top of the card base with foam tabs and you have a simple and pretty Christmas card...one down and lots more to go!
