Holiday Countdown Series, Day 12

Today, we wrap up this year's Holiday Countdown series. We hope you've enjoyed this display of talent and inspiration from our Design Team! You'll certainly see more inspiring projects during December, so be sure to check back often.

I love this time of year... the cooler (or cold!) weather, the excitement and the giving of gifts. I honestly believe the old saying "good things come in small packages"; and if it's homemade packaging, even better!

I chose to use the woodgrain cardstock for this project because I wanted to rustic texture, but didn't want to emboss it or stamp it myself. I love shortcuts any time of the year!

This die made things simple, with two quick cuts using my Big Shot. The lines were scored and the edges cut, so assembly was a breeze.

The strength of Score Tape was perfect for this project. I used the bone folder to crease the scored lines and also to rub over the adhesive to make sure the textured cardstock adhered well.

I wanted to created a die cut inlay tag, so I cut a snowflake from the same woodgrain cardstock, and then the outline of the snowflake in the circle to leave the negative space to inlay into. I used Pop Tones Cherry Red for the perfect shade of Christmas red! I planned to use the extra little bits and pieces from the red snowflake to fill in the cut out details. The extra white circle is the backing piece.

A piercing tool and strong adhesive made the job easy... it's a little bit like putting a puzzle together.

I adhered the circle onto the front of the assembled goodie bag, and that was it. I think this would be an easy project to produce lots of, and it's perfect for those special little gifts!

Thanks for following our Holiday Countdown Series.... Happy Creating -Amber
