Hi Friends!! kel here today :) with a super fun watercolor card.
I started with some beautiful Classic Crest cardstock in Solar White. The thickness of the Classic Crest cardstock made it really nice for watercolors... Like with a lot of non-watercolor specific paper, it warped when it got wet but only minimally. I've had other papers warp so much worse!!
The first thing I did was cut down the Classic Crest cardstock to 4"x5.25" and then cut down 2 more pieces as my card bases.
Then I got out some of my Distress Oxide inks in sea-ish colors. I used one of my bigger acrylic blocks and smudged a little bit of ink on it directly from the ink pad. Then I took a larger round brush and a little bit of water and went to work!!
I added a brush-full of water onto each of the ink spots and then painted it onto my card.
I then used ths super cute stamp on some scrap Classic Crest cardstock and colored it up with my Copics before fussy-cutting it with some scissors.
I stamped some bubbles all over the card base, stamped out my sentiment, and then put it all together!
I also used some 3D squares to pop this cutie up and give my card a little bit of dimension.
lovies, =o) kel
