Floral Decorated Treat Box

We just got done with school for the summer. The end of the year is always crazy busy but we like to treat teachers to little treat during teacher appreciation week. This box is perfect for a few little pieces of candy. I really think the presentation is just as important as the little gift. Sure you could hand out a treat in a plastic bag but I like to take the little extra time and make a box for my gift. This box would also be a good size to slip a gift card into it too.

To make this box you will need two pieces of Curious Metallic cardstock in Blue Print trimmed to 5 3/4" X 4 3/4". I used a box maker to score all of the edges and strong adhesive to form the box. My finished box is 4 1/2" X 3 1/2" and only 3/4' tall I wanted to fit three rows of Hershey's gold bars. I could have made the box a little bit smaller they slide around a little bit but once I added tissue paper they fit nicely.

I cut some small panels out of Pop-Tones cardstock in Sour Apple Green to cover the top of the box and all four sides of the cover. The largest Panel I cut to 4 1/4"X 3 1/4" and two smaller strips about 4 1/2" X 1/4" then lastly two more shorter strips at 3 1/4"X 1/4". Before I attached them to the box top I stamped and heat embossed my sentiment to the large piece of Pop-Tones cardstock in Sour Apple Green.

I die cut some rose quilling flowers out of some Pop-Tones cardstock in Snocone. I inked the petals with Memento Ink in Summer Sky.

I ended up thinking I needed some leafs to go with the flowers so I die cut some leafs out of the Pop-Tones cardstock in Sour Apple Green and inked them with some Memento Ink in New Sprout.
