Paper Pieced Congratulations Card

Hi! How is everyone doing? Summer is so crazy here can't even believe my kiddos have less then a month of summer left before they go back to school.

Summer is full of weddings so it's really nice to have wedding cards on hand during this busy time.

I started this card with a 5 1/2" X 4 1/4" top folding card base.

I started by die cutting flowers into Gold cardstock. I first thought I would back the flowers and leaves with colored cardstock. Well that seemed to hard with the die I had chosen so I thought paper piecing seemed like the better option.

To do my paper piecing I like to use double sided stick it adhesive. For the most part when it is die cut the paper stays is so you don't have to go looking for the pieces.
I paper pieced with three different colors of  Pop-Tone cardstock in Lemon DropRazzleberrySour Apple.

After all of the paper piecing was done I stamped with VersaMark ink onto  Basis Cardstock in Grey and heat embosssed with white embossing powder. I cut the sentiment out and cut a V into the ends to form a banner.

Then with VersaMark ink I stamped a butterfly onto Curious Metallic cardstock in Gold Leaf then heat embossed with white embossing powder. I fussy cut the butterfly out.

I added a few sequins as a finishing touch but you don't need to add to many details to a card if you do paper piecing the details in that can stand alone.

Thanks for stopping by today.
