Fall Paper Pumpkin Home Decor

Fall is by far my favorite time of the year. I love when the weather cools down; the colors for fall are just gorgeous. I think I might actually like decorating for fall just as much as Christmas.

Today I have some paper pumpkins to share. I have all of my fall decorations out but it's actually still in the 90s here so not feeling too much like fall.

These pumpkins are super fast and simple to make but are so cute added to any fall decor display or even as a center piece for a Thanksgiving table setting.

Start with either die cutting circle with a die or trace and cut out by hand. For each pumpkin you will need 6 circles. You could do all one color or a mix of colors.

For my pumpkins I used:

Once all of the circles are cut out trim 3/4" off of the bottom of each circle. I trimmed 3/4" off of all of the circles no matter what size the circle was.

Starting at the flat bottom measure the middle and score all the way up.

Add strong adhesive (Leaving the top where it is rounded free of glue)
and start attaching the folded circles to each other lining the bottom up in a stack. Once all 6 circles are attached attach the first and last paper circle to for a ball shape.

For the stem I used:

Score 3/4" along the cardstock  then cut at 1/2".  Once you have 6 scored pieces glue them together one on top of each other gluing the first and last together like on the pumpkin.

Add a little glue on the stem which will go into the top of the pumpkin. This part can be a little tricky just put the stem in the top of the pumpkin.

For the last little detail which could be skipped is to die cut some leaves and adhere them to the stem or the top of the pumpkin.

For the leaves I used Astrobright Cardstock in Gamma Green

Thank you for stopping by please share if you make your own pumpkins I would love to see them.
