A Thank You Note for a Crafty Friend

Hello and happy Monday to you! Niki here and today I have a cute (and quick!) thank you card you can make for your crafty friends.

Recently, I picked up some new craft goodies and I couldn’t wait to try them out on my favorite cardstock. I’m in love with the texture of Royal Sundance Felt in Bright White.

This die is from Tonic Studios and it pairs with the Nuvo Crystal Drops. To start my card, I die cut the tree from the Royal Sundance and saved the leaf negatives. The plan was to set them back in place, so I colored them with a Copic Sketch marker in Moss (YG67).

Then, I adhered the 5 1/4" x 4" rectangle of white cardstock to a piece of 5 3/8" x 4 1/8"  Basis cardstock in Brown. I tapped the leaves back in place with a dab of Glue and stamped the sentiment (Crafty Life, Altenew) with Versafine CLAIR in Pinecone.

The Nuvo Drops I used are:

• Autumn Red
• Woodland Green
• Navy Blue
• Sugared Almond
• Plum Pudding
• Orange Soda

You can see the texture of the Royal Sundance cardstock in that photo - it's so artsy, like watercolor paper. It doesn't require a lot of embellishment to look good since it's fancy, to begin with :)

Once all the drops were dry (it only takes about 15 mins) I adhered my card to an A2 card base made from Basis cardstock in Red.
