Using Stock Art

Hello again creative friends! The busy season for my business is on the horizon! I look forward to and prepare for holiday time pretty much all year. It's incredibly demanding, but I love it so much.

As much as I try to incorporate my own illustrations into my designs, as this time of year gets busy, occasionally time, budget, and my skill level have to be considered. In some of these cases, I resort to stock art to assist me in my designs.

I was recently asked to design this woodland animal themed baby shower invitation. September was incredibly hectic, so I decided it would be best to incorporate stock art in order to stay on schedule with the project. My favorite place to shop for stock art and fonts is creativemarket.com. They allow independent artists to host their own shops, and sell art for a very reasonable price. It's such a great concept!

When I came across this adorable collection of hand-painted animals and trees, I knew it would be the PERFECT solution for this design.

Aren't the details just so sweet? I love that I can support another artist by purchasing their work. As usual, I printed the invitations on my favorite paper and matching envelopes: the Classic Crest 130# Card Stock.

Artwork from Creative Market can be incorporated into all kinds of projects. And their collection of fonts is outstanding! So next time you need some art, be sure to check them out.

Happy creating! Erin @eringermandesign
