Farewell

My dear crafty friends, it's hard to believe it has been a year for me to be on the CutCardStock design team! Time really flies!! I'm so grateful for this opportunity to get to know many talented and passionate crafters. I got inspired all the time! And thanks to CutCardStock for the great products and services! I'm in love with many of them and will definitely use them for my future projects! Today I'd like to take this chance to share my favorite cardstocks and envelopes with you.

Stardream Metallic

This is my favorite cardstock of all. They have a shimmery finish just the right amount. The colors are so rich and brilliant in a large selection. They can be used as sentiments, background or individual die-cuts. The weight is 105 lb cover. It's good for both card front and base. I will definitely try more colors in the future.

Curious Metallic

 

This is another metallic cardstock I love. The weight is 92 lb cover, a little lighter weight than the Stardream Metallic but great for all kind of uses. The finish is super smooth, so ink blending is very easy on this cardstock. Here are a few projects I created using these cardstocks.

Savoy 100% Cotton Cardstock

The 100% cotton nature of this cardstock makes it a great choice for ink smooshing, as the cardstock absorbs and holds water and hence makes the blending smooth. This cardstock is great for water coloring too.

Envelopes 

I also love the envelopes from the Stardream Metallic and Curious Metallic lines. They are a perfect match for their shimmery cardstocks.

Here are two envelopes I picked to match with my projects.

Wink of Stella Brush Pen

This pen can add glitter and shimmer to your card for a sparkling finish. I used it a lot to give a final touch to my handmade cards.

Double-sided Foam Circles

I also use this foam circles a lot to raise the die-cuts a little bit to give it a shadow effect. This pack comes with assorted sizes, which is very convenient. 

Once again, thank you so much for letting me share my projects with you in the past year! I had a great time myself. I'll still be around and get inspired by the new design team this year.
