Sparkling Elegance

Is there a particular occasion that you seem to never have a card for?

I usually am not scrambling to make a card for special events. I have a lot of cards on hand for just about everything. Except for weddings! I purchase or make my gift with plenty of time ahead, but seem to always need the wedding card.

So I am rushing to make a little tag or something to go with my gift right before we leave for the event. Today I want to share a very quick and easy, but elegant, wedding or anniversary card with you.

I started by cutting my champagne glass (Picket Fence Studios) out of the Mirrisparkle Silver Glitter Cardstock. I then cut my card middle panel the same size from Hammermill Radiant White Cardstock and lined it up to stamp my sentiment (Picket Fence Studios) "inside" the glass.

I made a shaker card using foam strips, acetate, and (for the wedding colors) chose some cute blue hearts and white sequins for the shaker confetti (easy to customize!).

After assembling the shaker, I tied a length of white organdy ribbon around the front of the card and made a bow at the glass stem. Not only is it for elegant embellishment, but it adds stability to the front of the card as well.

I added my card base, stamped a sentiment from the same set inside my card, and it was ready to go out the door with our gift in under ten minutes! And I even have the negative part of the glass for another card!

I love this glitter cardstock. The sparkle is lovely, and there is no mess to clean up!
