Hybrid Valentine's Card with FREE Download

Where did January go?  Time goes by so quickly and now we are just days away from Valentine's Day.  In a last minute effort to make sure you don't get stuck without a card for those sweethearts in your life, CutCardStock and I are offering a digital download FREE to the first 15 people to go pick it up at the CutCardStock store.  If you're not one of the first to get it for free, it will still be available for just a buck, and you can make as many cards as you need!

For this card, I wanted to bring a little traditional card making in with the digital world, so it's a hybrid Valentine!

Here is what you need:
The image file
a blank, white A2 size card from CutCardStock
Some matching ribbon
a cute little button
a punch or die cut heart, mine is a QuicKutz outline of a heart
some red DMC floss
glue dots

Steps:
Download the file.  You'll need Adobe Reader to see the .pdf file; if you don't have it you can download it for free here.

Once you save it to your computer, just double click on it to open it up.  Then, go to File / Print

**(These steps may vary slightly from printer to printer, so I am just showing these as a general guide.)

Select your printer at the top of the print options window and then click on "Properties"

From the Properties window, I selected "Printer Paper Size" and then clicked on "Custom"   Then I changed the Width to 5.5 in and the Height to 8.5 in, then "OK"

I already had my card loaded into my paper feed tray of my printer, so when I clicked "OK" a few times and got back to the final "Print" window, I was ready to go.

After my card printed, I jazzed it up with some of my supplies.  I tied a piece of ribbon around the center, into a little knot.

Then, I die cut my heart and cut a little slit into it so I could slip it onto the ribbon.  (Sure, I could have put it on before I tied the ribbon, but that would have made it too easy!)

I held everything down flat with a couple of glue dots and then added my little black button tied with red DMC floss, just for a little extra something.

So, hopefully this will help any of you that haven't quite gotten ahead of the Valentine's curve yet.... Enjoy!
