He Has Risen card with free download

For Christians who celebrate Easter, it is coming soon! I love using the card bases from CutCardStock.com that have colored borders on them. It makes creating a card so much easier and adds a touch of elegance.

I created a card for a friend who has had some challenging times, and I was hoping to inspire her to really celebrate, even in the midst of trying circumstances. The verse says: Do not be afraid, for I know  that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Matthew 18:4-5.

Print one sheet of 8-1/2x11" card stock with two images in it. I chose Cryogen White to give the card a subtle but elegant shimmer. You can download on my blog. Trim the piece to just around the lettering. (about 4x5.5")
For the rest of the card
Die cut patterned paper (Mine is from K&Co.) using the oldie but goodie Spellbinders S4-058. I cut and embossed two sets.
Also die cut the small cross and S4-244 from Curious Metallics Bloom.

To make the embossing lines of the flowers and leaves pop, rub the tops of them with Metallic Rub-ons. I chose the bright gold on the top of the photo below. Click it to see a bigger image.

Enhance the border and cross by using Uniball Signo 1.0mm Pen in Gold. Then cut the small border in half lengthwise.
Add the border to the sides of the sentiment and lay out the card elements. Put it all together with Glue Dots.

And you have a blessing to send a friend.

Happy Easter to all...
