Love Rings True engagement card

While most families are getting ready for school to start or are in the midst of the first weeks, some people are doing other things...like getting engaged, getting married and having babies. So this week, I created a card for a friend who's getting married in October. Her wedding shower theme is "Love Rings True," so I created a coordinating card for the event.
It is super easy to create, so gather some cutcardstock.com paper, a square envelope, your favorite computerized cutter (I used my Cricut and the Sweethearts cartridge.) a texture plate, a small bling and your adhesives. Let's get creating.
Cut a card base using Neenah Classic Linen Cardstock in Classic Natural White 10-3/4x5-3/8". Fold in half. Then cut the Stardream Metallic Amethyst to 5-1/8x5-1/8" for the mat.
Choose a texture plate and dry emboss the Amethyst paper.
Using the Sweethearts cartridge, cut the silhouette couple from Stardream Metallics Lapis Lazuli at 4". Then cut the medallion and couple's layers from coordinating patterned papers. Layer the card base, mat, medallion and couple. Adhere the elements with Tombo Multi Mono Multi-purpose liquid glue.
Cut or punch out 13 hearts. Stamp sentiment letters onto the hearts and add them to the card as if they are hanging from a banner. Trace around the hearts with a purple pen. Finally, add a gem to the top of the ring. (sorry the pic below doesn't show it very well but it is there.)

In this photo you can almost see the shimmer from the Stardream Metallics Amethyst and Lapis Lazuli. I love this paper!!
Don't forget your Cryogen White Curious Metallic 5.5" envelope...it's lovely too.
