Stardream Metallic Snowflake Garland

Hello there! It's Kristie Larsen here and today I am sharing with you a little something using the Stardream Metallic paper. They are GORGEOUS, to say the least.... Here is my project:

One of the things my kids miss the most being here is Singapore is SNOW! Isn't that funny? When we are basking in the heat during our Christmas BBQ at the pool, my husband and I are so glad to be here, but the kids lament not being able to make a snowman! So every year about this time, we make up some snowflakes to hang on our walls to help us have a little bit of winter for the holiday season. This project is perfect for all our decorating!

First I took a few of the lighter shades of the Stardream Metallic card stock

I dug out my stash of snowflake die cuts and set to work! I used a half a sheet of each color and die cut my 7 snowflakes out of each half sheet. It worked out perfectly with little waste. I love that!

I piled up all my snowflakes after they were cut and started to string them onto some embroidery thread. This is a really easy project and dresses up your house in no time flat!

Once they were strung it was just a matter of hanging them up. I used some washi tape which I always think is a nice addition to my paper crafting projects.

I ended up with 4 strands of snowflakes out of the 4 half sheets of paper. If you wanted to hang these from the ceiling or make a really big statement I would use a full sheet of each color. That would give you a great snow flurry!

This was just the right project to get us all in the winter-y mood without us having to be in the cold! We even made hot chocolate and chocolate chip cookies but I had to crank the air-conditioning so we didn't sweat to death :)  Baby it's cold IN-side!

That's all for my project this week. I hope you all have an amazing week of crafting! Be sure to check out the online store: CutCardStock.com for the great deals going on this week.
Until next time....
