Hello there CutCardStock.com fans! It's Kristie here, and thanks for joining me today for a fun quick tutorial on how to make some of your own easter grass using Translucent paper from CutCardStock.com. Let's get started!
First I took a sheet of translucent paper and inked it up with some green ink. I put the ink pad to the paper and then blended it after with a sponge blender.
After it dried I took my crazy multiple sheers and cut a bunch of strips. Now you don't need to have these scissors for this step, but it does make it go faster. You can just cut multiple times with single scissors. I'm kind of scared of these scissors to be honest, and hide them from my kids! I can just see my whole house being cut to shreds. And I wouldn't want to meet anyone in a back alley way with these babies!
Ok, then I trimmed across the top of the strips with single scissors and crunched them all up in a ball with my hands to give them some life and movement.
Next I stamped up a card stock panel with this cute carrot. I love this image! Then I ran it through my die cutting machine with an embossing plate to leave a nice pattern across it.
I die cut a fishtail label out of the translucent paper and popped up my bunny on top of it. I added a banner that I sponged with orange ink and glued all the grass underneath to ground my bunny. Ha ha! I just got that... funny pun not intended!
I had a bit of extra grass left over so I die cut and embossed a gable box and glued it together using some glue lines.
I stamped my basket and added some grass to it. I then stamped some eggs and dusted them with a Wink of Stella pen. I put another layer of grass inside the box to cushion its contents. You could make grass all day long with this great paper!
Here is my box all made up. It's a simple design to go with the card.
And here are my two items together. Ready to be given away for the perfect Easter treat!
Thanks for stopping in today!
xoxo
