Sunflowers for September

It's September and time for sunflowers and spiced pumpkin. I love this time of year with all the colors. This card is inspired by the darker colored sunflowers.  CutCardstock had the perfect colors.

I chose Pop Tone in Hot Fudge (4.24" x 5.5" and 3.25" x 3.75) and Tangy Orange (3 3/8" x 3 7/8" and 4.25" x 8.5" not shown), and Basis Gold (3.5" x 4" and 4.25" x 8.5" not shown). I also used Cougar White Super Smooth (3" x 3.5").

Creating shaped flowers is fun, but sometimes I don't want to spend the time to color the flowers. The weight of the Pop Tone and Basis Cardstock are great for shaping the flowers.

I stamped the 4.25" x 8.5" Tangy Orange Pop Tone and Gold Basis cardstock with a sunflower stamp from Heartfelt Creations.

I used the coordinating die to cut the flowers out. Then I inked the tips of the flowers.

To create the flowers I,
1. Inked the tips of the flowers
2. Used a stylus to shape.
3. Layered the two sets of petals.
4. Added Mud Puddles Coffee sand to the centers.

I embossed the Hot Fudge Pop Tones with a wood grain embossing folder and attached to the front of an A2 card base.

I stamped and colored the bucket of flowers. My choice of paper for coloring with my Prisma Colored Pencils or Copic Markers is the Cougar White Super Smooth Cardstock.

I layered the cardstock pieces as shown and then used Foam Squares to attach to the front of the card.

The final step was to add the flowers and a few leaves with Foam Squares. Who wouldn't love to receive this card?  It is pretty enough to frame.

Thanks for stopping by.
