Happy Friday!
The weather has finally dropped here and it is starting to feel like fall. This project combines a couple of my favorite things fall leaves and candy.
I made little paper covers for treat bags to give out to some friends for Halloween. These come together in no time at all but I think they are a little more fun then a clear bag. I cut a piece of Pop-tone Cardstock in Hot Fudge trimmed down to 2 3/4"X 8 1/2".
I took two different size circle dies. I die cut the smaller circle towards the top and the larger circle a little farther down from the smaller circle. The larger is for the opening in the front to see the treat in the bag. The smaller circle is too stick the bag through.
After all of the circles are die cut I measured 5 1/2" down the strip of paper and just left a little mark and scored 1/2" on either side of the mark for the base of the bag to sit.
I fill some clear plastic bags up with some of my favorite Halloween treats. I then took some twine to close the treat bags and tied it in a bow. I took the top of the bag and the twine bow and pull it through the small hole. I folded the long side around and to the back of the treat bag. I took the front and tucked it down to the back and adhered it to the back with staples on both sides.
I die cut some larger leaves out of Classic Linen in Gold Pearl that would fit "Happy Halloween".
I stamped "Happy Halloween" in "Pebble" Finesse ink on to the center of the leaves.
To embellish my treat bags I die cut a bunch of different leaves out of different colors of orange (Pop-tone in Orange Fizz, Basis Cardstock in Dark Orange, Curious Metallic in Mandarin) cardstock.
I adhered the large leave to the top flap and smaller leaves around the front.
Thank you for stopping by today.
Hope you are having a great Friday!
