Larger cards can be overwhelming to decorate when you need a several. A1 cards are a perfect size. They can still be sent through the mail, hold a gift card, used as a tag for a package or gift bag, and added to a fresh flower arrangement.
I started with a flat A7 card (5" x 7"), scored the 7" side at 3.5" and folded it in half. I used Shimmer Canvas Wedding Cake White, Canvas Textured Habanero, and Basis Navy for the bases.
I love the selection of cardstock available from CutCardstock.com. I can find the perfect color, texture or sparkle for my projects.
For these cards, I used: Basis Light Brown and Orange; Pop-Tones in Lemon Drop, Grape Jelly, Sour Apple, Jellybean Green, Wild Cherry, Hot Fudge and Licorice; Silk Glitter in Opulent Opal and Red Flash; and a little Stardream Metallic in Gold and Silver. By the way, Pop-Tones are my favorite papers to work with, I love the bright colors.
Next, I used some of my favorite dies from Karen Burniston to create the fun scenes for the fronts.
Then I assembled all the pieces on my card bases.
