Happy Mother's Day

Hi crafty friends!!

It’s Ana, and I am back today with a 3D floral card design project for Mother’s Day! 😊
I was going through Cricut Design Space looking for 3D projects and found this beautiful flower bouquet!

I really love my Cricut machine and to be honest don’t use it enough, but every time I create one of the projects it’s always so fun and makes the recipient really happy! Also, I get to use a lot of beautiful cardstock I am usually hoarding 😉

With Mother’s Day just a few weeks away I decided to create my cards early - this card is for my mother in law who loves her garden and flowers.

I started with choosing 7 colors of cardstock that I knew she would really love, and cut all the pieces out with my Cricut machine, following the instructions in Design Space.

Once I had all the pieces cut out, I continued to follow the instructions and adhered them together.

Since this is a tri-fold card, each side (flap) had the same number of pieces and colors, so the layering was pretty easy.

The photo above is of the process of assembling/adhering one of the sides. The other side was assembled the same way.

I added some shading with distress inks, and once it was all finished, I embellished both sides with liquid drops and tiny butterflies and dragonflies.

Once the outside of the card was completed, I worked on the inside, stamping a sentiment and adding some leftover cuts. The back of the card is blank for a personal message.

Once the card was finished, I worked on the heart-shaped pouch to hold the card (this piece was a part of this project in Cricut Design Space as well).

I inked the edges, then added pieces of white tissue paper to the inside of the pouch. Finally, I inserted the card and my project was finished 😊

I absolutely LOVE the way this card turned out!

It really looks like a bouquet of flowers, and I know my mother in law will love it as much as I do!
