Personalized Envelopes with Basis Cardstock!

Hi there, Hannah here from Fanciful Spaces!

Usually, I share with you some Mixed Media projects that I was inspired to create with paper from Cut Cardstock, but did you know that before being a Mixed Media artist I was a Card Crafter? That's right, I have HUNDREDS of cards I've made...and I almost never mail them out. :/ They sit and are stored for almost no reason.

Cut Cardstock's Basis White cardstock has inspired me to get out those cards and to ship them to friends and family! How you ask? Easy - by making my own envelopes! Their white Basis paper comes in an #80 weight, a #110 weight, AND they carry their own envelopes! This paper is a FABULOUS way to protect the cards that you lovingly spent hours creating. :)

I have a quick video to share how I made them, it is my hope that I inspire you to send a little snail mail. ;)

Want to see still photos of my creations? Look no further!

I both watercolored and stamped with Catherine Pooler's dye ink! Make sure to gesso if you're water coloring though, this isn't watercolor paper! ;)

Just because I could, I watercolored. ;) These are Jane Davenport watercolors, again I gessoed just the areas I was painting on. It isn't necessary to gesso the entire front.

Copic Markers! This isn't paper designed for alcohol inks, but I did want to show that if you're not needing a whole lot of technique, you can color away. :) I experienced absolutely no ink bleeding, though blending took a little bit of work.

Thank you so much for hanging out with me, I hope you have a fabulous day and that you never stop creating!
