Summertime Drink Toppers

Summer is in full force around here and I'm loving the smell of fresh-cut grass, seeing kids riding bikes around the neighborhood, and of course enjoying all the tasty cold drinks! Here's a fun and simple project you can do to spruce up those summer drinks--whether you're entertaining guests or just want to feel a little fancy yourself!

Supplies Needed:

• Mirrisparkle Silver Glitter Cardstock
• Mirrisparkle Gold Glitter Cardstock
• Basis Black Cardstock
• Tombow Dual Adhesive
• Washi Tape

To begin, I cut out my pieces with my Silhouette CAMEO die-cutting machine. The "summer vibes" design was from the Silhouette Design Store and was cut out of the silver glitter paper. Then, I created an offset for the Black Cardstock, and one more offset for the gold glitter.

I love how detailed my designs can be. And check out that sparkle!

Next, I used my Tombow adhesive and glued each layer together.

These pieces of cardstock are so nice and thick that they create a beautiful dimensional look.

Now I grabbed some straws and pretty washi tape to create the drink toppers.

You can use any adhesive, but I like the fun sparkly washi tape and just taped the topper onto the straw. Make sure there's plenty of room on the top of the straw for people to drink out of!

The Silver and Gold glitter paper is perfect for this project because you get the dazzled look without any glitter falling off!

And then you're done! Mix up your favorite tasty cold drink and you're ready to host a fun summer party!
