Mini Cards Design 4 of 5

Hello, hello! Samantha here with the fourth design of five in my mini card mini-series. I hope you're having as much fun following along as I am while creating these.

Today's design is a mini version of my favorite card type - the shaker card!

Let's get started!

You'll need:

Using black ink, stamp the 'happy birthday' sentiment from the 'Hang in There' stamp set onto the inside of your cards. When you're making shaker cards, you will want to stamp the insides before putting the shaker element on.

Using your frames lightly trace the inside and all around the outside with a pencil. I actually forgot to trace the outside until later. Whoops!

Stamp the panda from the Party Panda set into the center of the smaller square. Repeat on the other card.

Mask both pandas.

Mask all along the inner square. Make sure your masking paper is right up against the pencil marks.

Ink blending time! You can use any colors you'd like. I used Abandoned Coral and Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide Inks.

Take your foam strips and arrange them so that they form a square between the pencil marks. Do this for both cards. Erase the pencil marks when you're done.

Now comes the fun part; filling it with the guts! That's what I call the elements inside shaker cards. I opted to add some die cut cupcakes to mine as well as fairly flat sequins. Do not overfill this.

Line the inner square on both frames with Score Tape.

Remove the tape backing and adhere your acetate.

Remove the tape backing from the foam strips and press your acetate frame onto the card. I also added a tiny cupcake to the outside of my frames.
That's it!

Aren't these adorable? I think that these will be the perfect addition to this card set we're making.
Check out the other cards in this series; 1 of 5, 2 of 5, and 3 of 5!

Until next time,
